13th Floor Horror-fest

13thFloorIcons1 MrHallowsandLaLlorona1 13thFloorIcon LaLlorona1I cannot fathom that the date on my calendar is true. October 17?! My favorite month is slipping through my tight grasp as time continues to spin around my head causing me to fall to the ground. I feel as though I haven’t had any time to sit down and appreciate the gory and horrific nature of my favorite Halloween movies, which is why I have made no plans for my weekend so I can spend my day watching terrifying movies with every blind shut and all of my candles lit while trying on horror makeup and nail designs.

Last night I spent my evening at the 13th Floor with all of the delightful monsters. The group photo is epic. Every character was truly committed to their character and even when I attempted to have conversations I was either met with stares or a comment that made no sense.

Oh well, we’re all monsters here, xx.

Halloween Haute Couture

Circa 2011, Julien Fournié Haute Couture collection had some designs that were bloody amazing. I’m not a fan of blood, yet these designs are gorgeous and unlike anything I have come across. Many works of art that contain blood come across as vulgar, to the point where you can’t look at it for too long. Yet this outfit, as well as the accompanying make up, has so much detail, and the expression the model holds while she’s wearing the dress goes perfectly with everything the designer/artist was trying to portray. Lana Del Rey also goes very well this this dress. I believe a movie script could be made just based of this Julien Fournié gown and Lana Del Rey’s voice.

Halloween has already begun in my world, which includes fashion. xx

Freak show, love you

As October rapidly approaches, so does my excitement for American Horror Story: Freak Show. The fourth installment to this show that forever altered the way I think about horror on prime time TV, will premiere on October 8 on FX. While the first season still holds a special place in my heart (it’s actually paused on Netflix right now as I write this post), I hope this season will be equally shocking.

Returning to the cast for American Horror Story: Freak Show will be JESSICA LANGE, SARAH PAULSON, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Denis O’Hare, EVAN PETERS and Emma Roberts. Sadly, Taissa Farmiga, Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton and Kata Mara don’t look like they’ll be on Freak show. No! Taissa! Well, onto the released teasers:

Desperately awaiting your arrival on October 8, xx.

Halloween, where art thou?

Today I screamed while driving by a Spirt Halloween sign. After having a small discussion with James about why I shouldn’t scream when I’m driving a car because it may scare others in the car, I drove towards the sign. Upon arrival, disappointment set in that Spirit Halloween was not open. The sign lied. Since then (11 a.m.), my mind has been fixated on the haunting day, even more so than normal days, so I felt it was only appropriate to go back through my favorite photos from last Halloween. kidders-second-halloween-026 the-pumpkin current-halloween-decor-005 kidders-halloween-celebration-047

One hour until Halloween

October 31, a mere hour away. I can hardly wrap my mind around it. My plans don’t include a Halloween party, but nevertheless I shall have myself a Halloween celebration. I plan on awakening early and watching a horror movie while the sun has not yet risen and light candles by my bed. I have a Halloween costume I purchased and I plan on doing my hair and makeup accordingly for the day- messy and dark with blood dripping from my neck. My boyfriend, luckily, will be off at one and before he arrives home I am going to the grocery store to purchase ghastly goodies. I will try and sneak in time to read the Shining on my porch. During the daytime hours I will spend some time photographing my cat in his sock monkey outfit 🐱🐵for a happy Halloween card! I will be sure to post the images online. When darkness sets in, James and I will light a fire and carve pumpkins, traditional Halloween activities. In the past I have always spent Halloween night in a daze at Halloween parties and although I will miss it, I’m desperately trying to concentrate on the other aspects of Halloween that do no involve partying. What a haunting night it shall be.
